Everlight’s “RGB+IC” chip LEDs, sold as 1.8 mm and 3.0 mm chip packages by a major LED maker. Digi-Key lists both as “Addressable Lighting, 1 LED Discrete Serial (Shift Register)”. The sheets carry the part suffix 5V01 and name no IC.
Refresh & flicker
The 12-23C sheet gives absolute maximum supply +3.8 to +5.5 V; the 19-C47 sheet gives +4.2 to +5.5 V and an 800 kbps clock limit. Propagation delay up to 300 ns (12-23C). Colour order is R, G, B, MSB first: the 12-23C data diagram and the application note agree. That is NOT the GRB of the WS2812 family. LED drive current per channel is not stated; luminous intensity is specified at 5 mA.
Timing
| Source | T0H | T0L | T1H | T1L | Period | Rate | Reset | ± |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| datasheet ↗ | 300 ns | 900 ns | 900 ns | 300 ns | 1200 ns | 833 kHz | 50 µs | 80 ns |
| Both sheets give T0H 300 +/-80, T0L 900 +/-80, T1H 900 +/-80, T1L 300 +/-80 ns and reset above 50 us. The sheets label this “High Speed mode”, implying a second mode, but no other mode is documented. | ||||||||
Clones & compatibility
“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

protocol compatible
SK6812
Timing windows overlap the SK6812's zero bit, but the colour order is RGB rather than GRB and the reset is 50 us. Not tested. source ↗

Dating evidence
Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
