No datasheet names the driver IC or its maker: the sheets are Xinglight letterhead documents titled with the SKU only, so this protocol is defined by the figures the sheets print (supply, per-channel current, timing table, pin set), not by a known die.
Datasheets disagree: the sheet’s table gives a 0.9 us minimum cycle (0.3/0.6/0.6/0.3) but the note under it still reads “minimum requirement for the original code cycle is 1.2 us”. The non-S sibling (C5349953) prints 0.3/0.9/0.9/0.3, cycle 1.2 us, reset above 200 us, and its DOUT drive and VIH (2.8 V min) differ from this sheet (VIH 0.7 VDD, +/-36 mA).
Refresh & flicker
Fpwm 1.0 kHz, static current 0.35 mA, VIH 0.7 VDD, VIL 0.3 VDD, DOUT drive +/-36 mA, propagation delay 67/93 ns.

Clones & compatibility
“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

WS2812B
Only the title says WS2812B-S. source ↗
Library support
Not checked against any library. The sheets state a 24-bit (32-bit for IC-01W) frame sent high bit first at 800 kbps.

Dating evidence
Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
