No datasheet names the driver IC or its maker: the sheets are Xinglight letterhead documents titled with the SKU only, so this protocol is defined by the figures the sheets print (supply, per-channel current, timing table, pin set), not by a known die.
Datasheets disagree: the XL-3332RGBC sheets (C42400839, C51900965) say “preset 12 mA / channel” in the feature list but print Lout 5 mA in the electrical table; the 0807 sheet (C3646929) prints 12 mA in both and is otherwise identical to its -S sibling (C41413181, 5 mA, which is filed in xl-2812b-t1-5ma). Filed on the feature-list value for the 3332.
Refresh & flicker
Fpwm 4.5 kHz, static current 0.35 mA (0807) / 0.45 mA (3332), VIH 0.55 VDD (0807) / 3.1 V (3332).

| Minimum-only table: Tin0h >= 0.3, Tin1h >= 0.9, T0L >= 0.9, T1L >= 0.3, cycle >= 1.2 us, reset > 200 us; low time under 20 us. Recorded values are the minima. | ||||||||
Clones & compatibility
“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

protocol compatible
WS2812B
Only the title says WS2812B; 12 mA per channel but SK6805-pattern minimum timing and a reset over 200 us. source ↗
Library support
Not checked against any library. The sheets state a 24-bit (32-bit for IC-01W) frame sent high bit first at 800 kbps.

Dating evidence
Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
