No datasheet names the driver IC or its maker: the sheets are Xinglight letterhead documents titled with the SKU only, so this protocol is defined by the figures the sheets print (supply, per-channel current, timing table, pin set), not by a known die.

Datasheets disagree: the sheets in this family are titled WS2812B but print an SK6805-like minimum table, 5 mA and reset over 200 us. Inside the family the figures drift: 1010 PWM 1.0 kHz, VIH 2.8 V min; 1615 / 0807-S PWM 4.5 kHz, VIH 0.55 VDD; 3210 supply 4.0-5.5 V (others 3.5-5.5 V), VIH 0.5 VDD; 3227 VIH 2.3 V / VIL 1.5 V, static 0.38 mA. They are one protocol only because the timing and current match.

Datasheets disagree: the 1615 sheet (C5349954) prints DOUT output current LOH as -35 mA while the 1615-S sheet (C41413180) prints 15 mA for the same parameter.

Refresh & flicker

Fpwm 4.5 kHz (1010 sheet: 1.0 kHz), static current 0.35 mA, VIH 0.55 VDD, VIL 0.3 VDD, propagation delay 80 ns (1615 sheet C5349954).

Minimum-only table: Tin0h >= 0.3 us, Tin1h >= 0.9 us, T0L >= 0.9 us, T1L >= 0.3 us, cycle >= 1.2 us, reset > 200 us; note says the “0”/“1” high times must be inside the table ranges and the low time under 20 us. The values recorded are those minima, i.e. the 300/900/900/300 ns pattern, not typicals. The 3227 sheet (C49237873) prints min/typ/max: Tin0h 0.2/0.3/0.4, Tin1h 0.7/0.9/1.0, T0L 0.8/0.9/20, T1L 0.2/0.3/20 us, cycle min 1.2 us max 20 us, reset > 200 us.

Clones & compatibility

“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

  • protocol compatible WS2812B

    Only the title says WS2812B. Its table matches the SK6805 sheet pattern (300/900/900/300 ns, 1.2 us cycle, reset over 200 us) more than the WS2812B sheet; 5 mA per channel. source ↗

Library support

Not checked against any library. The sheets state a 24-bit (32-bit for IC-01W) frame sent high bit first at 800 kbps.

Dating evidence

Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
