No datasheet names the driver IC or its maker: the sheets are Xinglight letterhead documents titled with the SKU only, so this protocol is defined by the figures the sheets print (supply, per-channel current, timing table, pin set), not by a known die.
Three dies (yellow, cool white, warm white), 24-bit frame in “YWWW” order as printed (four letters for 24 bits - see xl-2812b-sk75-white). The sheet says preset 8 mA/channel in prose and Iout 8.5 mA in the test condition; the reliability test current is 8 mA.
Datasheets disagree: “preset 8 mA / channel” (p2) against “Iout RGB = 8.5 mA” (electrical table) on the same sheet.
Refresh & flicker
IDD 0.26 mA at 12 V, VIH 2.3 V, VIL 1.9 V, tPLH 70 ns (5050YWWWC-12V sheet C51900945).

Library support
Not checked against any library. The sheets state a 24-bit (32-bit for IC-01W) frame sent high bit first at 800 kbps.

Dating evidence
Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
