A squat “5 mm” through-hole pixel: the body is 4.8 mm across with a low dome only 5.1 mm tall on the flange, against 8.7 mm for the regular WS2812D-F5-V6, and the leads are 15.9 mm long instead of 25.9 mm. The flange is 5.8 mm across with one flat edge, as on the other WS2812D packages; the datasheet’s top view shows the flat on the side nearest pin 1.

The drawing labels the flange thickness 1.0 mm on one side and 1.5 mm on the other; 1.0 mm is used here (giving 6.1 mm overall, which also matches the height LCSC lists), and the discrepancy is unresolved.

Datasheet: 12 mA constant-current output (10-14 mA), 3.7-5.3 V supply, 800 kHz oscillator, 2 kHz scan, timing T0H 220-380 ns, T1H 750 ns to 1 us, T0L 750 ns to 1 us, T1L 220 ns to 1 us (the V6 sheets give 220-380 ns for T1L), reset 280 us or more. Half-intensity angle is given only as a minimum-to-maximum band of 90 to 110 degrees with no typical value, so the field is left null. Chip luminous intensity at 20 mA: R 3000, G 4000, B 2500 mcd typical. Data order is stated as RGB, not confirmed on hardware.

Listed on LCSC with zero stock on 2026-10-15.

Lens colour is not stated in the datasheet; the catalogue’s lens enum has no “unknown” value, so this is a placeholder.

Outline and pin positions checked against the manufacturer datasheet (WS2812D-F5-12mA-C1 sheet p2 (C4154875)). Shorter body and leads than the standard F5. Legs read 4 3 2 1 left to right with the flat beside pin 1, as drawn in the sheet; leg-length steps are indicative. What this means.

Compatibility

  • near clone WS2812B-V5

Same 280 us reset, 2 kHz scan frequency and the same T0H window (220-380 ns) as the WS2812B-V5, whose sheet the catalogue now holds. The V6 dome's T1L window is SHORT (220-380 ns) where the V5's is 580 ns to 1 us (and its T1H and T0L windows are 750 ns to 1 us against the V5's 580 ns to 1 us), so it is not the same timing table. The windows overlap, so a V5 driver may work, but that is not a tested claim. source ↗

  • near clone WS2812B

Through-hole four-leg pixel with the WS2812B command set, but the reset period is 280 us rather than 50 us. The datasheets for this family state the data order as RGB, where the WS2812B family is GRB; that statement has not been confirmed on a real part. source ↗
