The only driver IC in this batch whose sheet names a part number for it: PG1288, “a three-channel LED driver IC with a built-in MCU digital interface, data latches and LED drivers”. Its maker is not named. The sheet is an IC datasheet re-badged for the LED: the pin list on page 2 is the 8-pin driver (OUTR, OUTG, OUTB, GND, DOUT, DIN, NC, VDD), the die pad map on page 7 shows the bare chip (577 x 593 um) and the application circuit on page 6 drives separate LEDs from an 8-pin package. Only page 7 carries the LED outline and 4-pin numbering.

Datasheets disagree with themselves: the function description says the output period is 4 ms while the table says 1.2 kHz PWM; the page-2 pinout (8 pins) is the driver, not the 4-pin LED, whose own numbering is given only in the outline drawing.

Refresh & flicker

PWM 1.2 kHz, quiescent 1.0 mA, 800 kbps, DIN to DOUT delay at most 500 ns, 12 mA per channel by default, input thresholds 0.7 / 0.3 x VDD (page 4). The function description on the same page says the PWM signal period is 4 ms, which is not 1.2 kHz; the table figure is recorded.

Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
