A gull-wing 3.2 x 2.8 mm addressable LED that LCSC files under plain RGB LEDs. The outline is the SK6812MINI-E class (3.2 x 2.8 mm, leads about 5.9 mm apart) but the pin order is NOT the MINI-E’s: Nationstar numbers down the left leads then down the right (1 VDD top-left, 2 DO bottom-left, 3 DI top-right, 4 GND bottom-right at the cut lead), whereas the MINI-E runs 1 GND, 2 DIN, 3 VDD, 4 DOUT around the ring from the cut lead. Do not substitute one for the other on the same pads.

Outline and pin positions checked against the manufacturer datasheet (C7464732 FC-RGBC3228-A1 spec p3 (outline, recommended pad, pin table)). Not a ring: pins 1 and 2 on the LEFT leads (1 VDD top, 2 DO bottom), pins 3 and 4 on the RIGHT leads (3 DI top, 4 GND bottom, the cut lead). Lead dimensions from the top-view labels (5.90 overall, 1.35 long, 0.70 wide, 0.80 gap between the lead pairs); approximate. What this means.

Compatibility

  • electrically similar Nationstar FC-RGBC4020 IC (unnamed)

Same timing table, reset and GRB order in the two Nationstar sheets of the same date; the 3228 sheet's IC table differs (11.5 mA output against 12 mA, 4.5 kHz PWM against 4 kHz, 3.5-5.5 V supply against 4-5.5 V, 80 ns delay against 200 ns maximum). Kept separate because the electrical tables differ. source ↗

Dating evidence

Nobody announces these parts, so this records what we can actually cite rather than a release date. Library support proves only that the part existed by that date.
