The driver in Nationstar’s FC-RGBC4020-A1 (LCSC lists it among plain RGB LEDs). The sheet is a “TOP Light Emitting Diode” sheet - its overview text is the generic indicator-LED paragraph - but its pin table (DI, VDD, DO, GND), its “single-wire return-to-zero” coding description and its 24-bit data structure make it an addressable part. No IC is named.
Datasheets disagree with themselves: the coding paragraph (page 5) says the chip latches data when it sees a low of 80 us or more, while the timing table gives Trst above 200 us; the maximum table says 3.0-7.5 V logic supply and a 9 V output rating while the electrical table says 7.5 V and 9.5 V; the “low-level input” unit in the recommended-conditions table is printed as mA. The coding paragraph’s “4 kHz” PWM agrees with the table.
Refresh & flicker
PWM 3 kHz minimum / 4 kHz typical, idle current 0.4 / 0.65 / 0.9 mA, data rate up to 1100 kHz, DIN to DOUT delay at most 200 ns, output current 9.6 / 12 / 14.4 mA per colour, DOUT drive +15 / -30 mA (page 5). Recommended supply 4-5.5 V (5 V typical); the chip-input row says 5 V typical / 7.5 V maximum, and the absolute maximum is 3.0-7.5 V. RGB output pin withstand 9.5 V (table) or 9 V (maximum).
Timing
| Source | T0H | T0L | T1H | T1L | Period | Rate | Reset | ± |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| datasheet ↗ | 300 ns | 900 ns | 900 ns | 300 ns | 1200 ns | 833 kHz | 200 µs | 50 ns |
| T0H 0.3, T0L 0.9, T1H 0.9, T1L 0.3 us, each +/-0.05 us; symbol period at least 1.2 us; reset above 200 us. The sheet says the RESET code is a low of at least 80 us in the description paragraph and above 200 us in the table - see the notes. 24 bits, high bit first, G, R, B order (page 7). | ||||||||
Clones & compatibility
“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

electrically similar
Meihua MHP1515 IC (unnamed)
Same typical timing (300 / 900 / 900 / 300 ns +/-50 ns) and reset above 200 us as the Meihua MHP1515 sheet; Nationstar sends GRB where Meihua says RGB. Neither sheet names an IC or says one is derived from the other. source ↗

electrically similar
SK6805
Inferred from the numbers only; the Nationstar sheet never names OPSCO. Its typical timing (300 / 900 / 900 / 300 ns) and 200 us reset equal the typical figures printed for SK6805-EC15; the tolerance is +/-50 ns where OPSCO prints a wider window, supply is 4-5.5 V, and the output is 12 mA (SK6805: 5 mA). source ↗

electrically similar of this
Nationstar FC-RGBC3228 IC (unnamed)
Same timing table, reset and GRB order in the two Nationstar sheets of the same date; the 3228 sheet's IC table differs (11.5 mA output against 12 mA, 4.5 kHz PWM against 4 kHz, 3.5-5.5 V supply against 4-5.5 V, 80 ns delay against 200 ns maximum). Kept separate because the electrical tables differ.

Dating evidence
Evidence, not a release date. A library commit proves the part existed by that date and says nothing about how long before.
