TONYU’s 5050 single-wire IC, labelled “6812F” in the part number. The sheet describes a 24-bit single-wire return-to-zero protocol with automatic re-shaping, resembling the WS2812 / SK6812 families, but it does not use those names and prints its own windows.

The DY-S1515065 “6805” sheet prints the same timing table and the same IC electrical table (page 5 and 8) word for word; only the LED current differs. They are kept as separate protocols because the maker’s part codes differ.

Refresh & flicker

PWM 1.2 kHz, quiescent 1 mA, internal supply 5.2 V typical, input thresholds 0.7 / 0.3 x VDD (page 8). Data rate 800 kbps, DIN to DOUT delay at most 500 ns, output current rise/fall 100 ns (page 4). The sheet says 512 pixels at 30 frames per second in low-speed mode and 1024 in high-speed mode.

Clones & compatibility

“Compatible” is never stated bare here — each relationship carries how strong the claim is, and what bites if you assume too much.

  • electrically similar SK6812

Inferred from the printed numbers and the part code only; the TONYU sheet never names SK6812 or any other vendor. Its windows (T0H 200-400, T0L at least 800, T1H 580-1000, T1L at least 200 ns, 24 bits GRB, 1.2 us symbol) overlap OPSCO's current SK6812 sheet (T0H 250-400, T0L at least 800, T1H 650-1000, T1L at least 200 ns). Differences: reset above 80 us against above 200 us in OPSCO's 2025 sheet, and a 1.2 kHz PWM. source ↗

  • electrically similar of this TONYU 6805

Identical timing and IC tables in the two TONYU sheets; the 6805 part is the 5 mA (photometric table at IF = 5 mA, 1.5 x 1.5 mm) one and the 6812F the 12 mA (IF = 12 mA, 5050) one. The sheets do not say whether the current is set by the die or by the LED chips used.

  • electrically similar of this TONYU 6812 (TR2)

    The 2024 TR2 sheet is a newer, different table from the 2019-era 6812F sheet: reset above 200 us (6812F: above 80 us), T1H 600/670/1000 ns (580/640/1000), PWM 1.0 kHz (1.2), quiescent 0.6 mA (1 mA), and logic thresholds of 2.8 / 1.8 V absolute rather than 0.7 / 0.3 x VDD.
