The one TX1812 sheet that is clearly a different circuit: version A5 dated 2024-07-18 (the other TX1812 sheets are 2023 A1/A2). Same 5050 outline and pin order as the CXA5/CWCA parts, but 0.3 / 0.9 / 0.9 / 0.3 us timing ±0.05 us, reset at least 200 us, 11.5 mA test current, output-port rating 10 V (the CWCA sheets say 8.5-9.5 V), input thresholds as absolute voltages (high at least 3.1 V, low at most 1.5 V), PWM 4.5 kHz, 0.45 mA static, 2 kV ESD and storage to 150 C. A separate protocol, tx1812-cxu.

Datasheets disagree with the rest of the family: this sheet prints a typical output current of 11.5 mA, not the 12 mA (9.6-14.4) of the CWCA/DWBA sheets, and its timing, reset, threshold and port-rating figures are those of a different part under the same TX1812 name. LCSC lists the package as “SMD-4P,5.4x5mm” where the sheet says 5.0 x 5.4 x 1.6 mm.

The U suffix also appears on a 2017 SKU (TX1812IWCU-F01, see tx1812-2017); no sheet says what U means.

Outline and pin positions checked against the manufacturer datasheet (C7495078 TX1812CXU-F01 rev A5 p4). Pin 1 is top-left, numbering runs counter-clockwise, and the chamfer sits at pin 3 (GND), as in the WS2812B. The sheet marks "+" on the pin 1-2 side and "-" on the pin 3-4 side. Pad sizes read from the drawing; the part spans 5.4 mm across the leads. What this means.

Compatibility

  • protocol compatible SK6805

The typical timing (300 / 900 / 900 / 300 ns, 200 us reset) equals the OPSCO SK6805-EC15 sheet figures recorded on the sk6805 protocol, with the same 24-bit GRB framing. The numbers coincide; neither sheet claims compatibility, the drive current is 11.5 mA here against 5 mA, and the +-50 ns tolerance is narrower than the SK6805 windows. Not measured. source ↗

Dating evidence

Nobody announces these parts, so this records what we can actually cite rather than a release date. Library support proves only that the part existed by that date.
