The 5050 member of the single-wire WL-ICLED family. The package looks like a WS2812B and nothing else about it is the same: the pin order is VSS, DIN, VDD, DOUT going counter-clockwise from the marked corner (the WS2812B’s is VDD, DOUT, VSS, DIN), the supply minimum is 3.5 V, and the PWM frequency is 2.5 kHz. Do not drop it onto a WS2812B footprint.

Outline and pin positions checked against the manufacturer datasheet (Wurth 1315050930002 sheet p1: pin 1 at the marked top-left corner, numbering counter-clockwise). Same pad layout as a WS2812B but the pins are numbered 1 VSS, 2 DIN, 3 VDD, 4 DOUT. What this means.

  1. 1 VSS ground
  2. 2 DIN data in
  3. 3 VDD power
  4. 4 DOUT data out

Dating evidence

Nobody announces these parts, so this records what we can actually cite rather than a release date. Library support proves only that the part existed by that date.
