Datasheets disagree: see the aboc-hbgr32l protocol. The BB- sheet (Ver2.0) puts Red, Blue, Green in the LED frame and gives DIN VIH 3.0 V; the BL- sheet (Ver2.2) puts Blue, Green, Red and VIH 0.7 x VCC. The part number says BGR. The two sheets also differ in the IC driver diagram (the BB- sheet’s Rev. 1.3-1.5 rows modify the IC driver diagram and pin names). The LCSC titles read ‘BB-’ for C21708551 (brand ABOC) and ‘BL-’ for C5119290 (also brand ABOC), so the same device is sold under both prefixes. Pin order 1 DI, 2 CI, 3 GND, 4 VCC, 5 CO, 6 DO. LCSC stock 0 for both SKUs on 2026-10-15.

Protocol — ABOC HBGR32L two-wire IC (18 mA)

This is an SPI part: the clock is explicit, so there is no fixed bit period. The frame layout is shown below.

Compatibility

  • protocol compatible APA102

The frame is APA102-shaped (32 zero bits, 111 + 5-bit brightness + three 8-bit values, 32 one bits) and the sheet shows the same SDI/CKI waveform. The two sheets disagree about the colour order, and neither names APA102, so only the frame structure is compared. source ↗

Dating evidence

Nobody announces these parts, so this records what we can actually cite rather than a release date. Library support proves only that the part existed by that date.
